WHAT IS TOSS
About The Open Space Society
The Open Space Society - TOSS - is an embodiment of the philosophy with which the institute was formed: to create open minds, offer a space for learning, and build a society with a deep appreciation for the arts.

Section 01
About TOSS
TOSS started with a strong focus on filmmaking, shaped by the founder's deep love for cinema, but it has steadily expanded into reviving endangered art forms and building contemporary cultural learning pathways.
Over the years, it has built affiliations with some of the most renowned institutes in the country and brought their courses and teachers into a more intimate, community-oriented environment.
Section 02
The Story
TOSS is the meeting point of two long-held dreams. In 2016, Shilpi Batra Adwani returned to Jaipur after years of working on Sheenkhalai: The Blue Skin in Afghanistan and began imagining a space where art could genuinely thrive.
At the same time, Hitesh Adwani had already been building communities around photography through The Jaipur Photography Club, creating a network of people eager to learn, share, and practice together.
That shared momentum became the foundation for TOSS: a platform for conserving regional art forms, making short and medium-term learning more accessible, and bringing hobbies back into everyday life.
Section 03
Our Vision
The aim is to bring learning into every life. From discovering a new hobby to developing an entirely new skill, TOSS is built to welcome people across age groups, backgrounds, and levels of experience.
Section 04
Belief / Mission
An open mind is ready to learn. It is not limited to one discipline, one genre, one age, or one kind of learner.
The campus reflects that openness through peer exchange, close interaction with instructors, and a commitment to minimalist, sustainable ways of working in an endangered world.
